Projects from Whitewaters

Period Elegance

Our client, a busy legal professional required a compact pool for the use of her expanding family that would complement her elegant period home on the outskirts of Glasgow.

Having researched the market extensively, she chose the W1 Swimspa for it's superior aesthetic appeal and flexibility of design. A 7mtr x 3mtr model was chosen for maximum swimming surface, and ozone, pH control and Heatsavr were added to minimise maintenance.

Our works also include the design and installation of a dehumidification and air heating system for the pool hall.

Complete Package

Whitewaters were appointed to undertake a full design and build pool installation at this beautiful self-build home in Northumberland. A fully insulated panel pool system was used to complement the eco-friendly methods used in this cutting-edge construction.

Our remit included design and installation of the 11.5mtr x 5.5mtr deck-level pool, all ring beams, backfill and floor slab, H&V system including sub-floor distribution ductwork, and all plant room equipment.

The pool is finished with a site-welded commercial vinyl lining, and also includes a colour changing LED lighting system.

Green Energy

Our client was especially keen to incorporate solar heating, to assist with the energy demands of this leisure suite - an annexe to the original house.

Whitewaters were able to utilise the solar heating system to pre-heat the pool water for the 6mtr x 2.4mtr W1 Swimspa, prior to entering our main heat exchanger.

Solar energy was also integrated into the hot water supply for the Vaporex 55 unit providing heat and dehumidification to the pool hall.

Chromotherapy

This stylish pool hall in South Yorkshire contains a 4.8mtr x 2.4mtr W1 Swimspa, which was installed as a hydrotherapy pool for our client - a young man with special needs.

As our client is particularly responsive to chromatherapy (in which colours and their energy frequencies are used to correct psychological or physical imbalances), we included a fibre optic lighting system. The light source moves gently through a sequence of 6 colours, and is projected into the pool via 3 stainless steel lenses in the pool wall.

Ozone, pH control and Heatsavr were also fitted along with a Vaporex 55 unit to provide air heating and dehumidification.

Design Works

This project allowed our client to benefit from our flexible approach to design and installation works.

Whitewaters were commissioned to produce an overall design for pool and spa construction, filtration system and H&V (heating and ventilation) scheme. Or client, the owner of a construction company then used our design and specification to tender and appoint subcontrators to complete various works packages.

In addition to the design work and production of drawings, we were appointed to install pool fittings, circulatory pipework and all water treatment and H&V equipment.

The pool and spa were finished in a gold-vein glass mosaic tile, to stunning effect.
